THE D.R. JACKSON LIBRARY

GENEALOGY & FAMILY HISTORY

The library was established in 1980 and now contains hundreds of publications and files relating to Genealogy and History. The holdings of the library are many, the areas of specialty are Ontario, Ohio, and Michigan, with many other references to places in the U.S. and Europe. The library is open by appointment only. The following is a current list of services and their prices. The Fees charged are for research services and copies. If you make an appointment to come in person, only copying fees would apply. Research fees are the library's only source of income and contribute to the purchase of new books and other operating expenses. Why send your Jackson family history to this library ? The benefit is, that we will search one hour free for any connections we may have to your family and share those with you, the only costs would be other expenses, such as copying and postage charges. Not only will your family stay on file, but if a link is ever found to another researcher, we will put them in touch with you. Many people tracing Jackson families in Ontario will be able to tell you that I have introduced them to others tracing their family from connections I have made from my records. For instance, I have already forwarded many people to the other two largest Jackson family groups mentioned on the Jacksontario home page in the past few years.

Surname Search - We will make a brief search on any surname for a flat fee of $ 10.00 - Once fee is received, research begins. Please provide a time frame and geographic area if known. We will advise you if it is worth searching further in which an hourly rate would then apply. A brief search basically lets you know if we have anything available and is it worth it to continue. we now accept PayPal for services - see the bottom of this page for details for payments with PayPal

Copying Fees - .50 per page

Photographs - If the picture is ordered as a scanned image the price is $ 2.00 if sent as an email file.

If actual photograph is ordered, prices will depend on if negative is needed and size of print.
