Research Services                                                                      

Research services concerning genealogy and family history are performed by the hour or contract. Most clients choose research by the hour. Research is conducted in 2 hour increments for  $ 50.00 plus any additional expenses.  After two hours of research has been completed, a report is made back to the client for a decision  by the client on whether or not  more research is wanted. The report and any supporting documents are delivered by email in PDF format. Many clients also choose to have a hard copy version mailed which will add to the cost for copies and postage. Research is performed all over the US and Canada and Italy with special emphasis on Michigan, Ohio and the province of Ontario in Canada. Services offered for the family historian and genealogist are also available. We provide a single name search which is a brief search of our holdings and resources if you can provide a name, geographic location and rough time period. This is a 30 minute search for $15.00. After our initial search you can decide to continue as a client or not for  additional research. A report is sent back advising what has been found. If documents or copies of records have been located, you will be advised to what will be the cost to get these to you which will depend on your choice of email PDF copies or hard copies by mail. For people requesting a single name search, payment is required in advance. Once we have your payment , work begins within a few days. The  fastest form of payment is by PayPal which we accept for all of our services. If you have a PayPal account, make your payment to drjaxc@sbcglobal.net. Send us a separate message with the name, location and time period of the name we are to search for.
