The Publishing Business -Jackson Publications was formed in Ohio in 1984 by D.R. Jackson as a research and desk top publishing company. We participated in consulting and gave seminars on publishing history related books and preserving photographs and maintaining archival quality collections. D.R. Jackson has been involved in history, genealogy and book publishing for over 30 years. A four time author, listed in the Library of Congress, D. R. Jackson has been a member of scores of historical and genealogical societies and an officer and board member of other groups. In the late 1980's D.R. Jackson served as President, Vice President, and program chairperson for the East Cuyahoga Co. Genealogical Society in Mayfield Hts., Ohio. He was also a member of the Western Reserve Historical Society for many years and volunteer in the research library in Cleveland, Ohio. He has been a public record searcher for over 25 years and has conducted genealogical research for scores of people in the U.S. and Canada specializing in Canada, Ohio and Michigan. Mr. Jackson has been a public speaker for many years giving programs to historical and genealogical societies such as Publishing Your Family History and Preserving Family Photographs. After moving to Michigan in 1999, he remained involved with history, genealogy and book publishing. While in Michigan, D.R. Jackson was elected president of the Clarksville-Campbell Historical Society. He was also the research coordinator of the Ionia County Genealogical Society and headed a project for that group that reprinted the 1881 Schenks History of Ionia and Montcalm Counties. In 2002, he wrote and published his forth publication, a massive 670 page hard cover book entitled The History of the Edward Jackson Family. The Research Company - Selective Investigative Services was formed 1n 1990, offering many types of research services - Estates - Missing Persons - Background Searches- Genealogical Research - Public Record Searches. After moving to Michigan we combined all of our services in 2002 and became Jackson Publications & Information Resources. In 2006, we moved back to Ohio where we are continuing our business services in Parma, Ohio
