John Jackson born Ireland abt 1765. His sons, James Lancelot, and Thomas Came to Canada and settled in Lanark County. This family was in the battled on Vinegar Hill in Ireland in 1798. Ephraim Jackson was born in Vermont around 1796. he is believed to be the brother of Samuel Jackson, also born in Vermont in the 1790's - Ephraim married first to Erue benedict and then to Roxy Ann Day. This family settled in Bastard Twp, Leeds Co., Ontario. According to a researcher form this family the first marriage produced the following children, Elefke, Ephraim Jr., Erue, and Jonathan. The second marriage produced the following children Martha, George, Jacob, Rachael, Jeremiah, Asher, Aaron, Isaac, Hiram, Lucinda, Elizabeth, and Elijah. He married Mahala Abbott and there were 14 children, Lucy, Altha, David, Daniel, Maria, Robert, William, Roxilana, Rebecca Ann, Joseph, Hannah, Francis, Samantha, and Duncan.
